Versolsolar's single-axis solar trackers have played a pivotal role in the successful grid-connection of the Zhongwei Longyuan 3GW PV project, a benchmark development located on the southeastern edge of China's Tengger Desert.


This project is a national pioneer, setting three "firsts" in China's Gobi desert base development history. As the tracker supplier for Phase II, Section D, Versolsolar's technology proved essential in overcoming the site's extreme challenges, including vast sand dunes, temperature swings from -20°C to 40°C, and intense wind and sandstorms.

2. Robust Wireless Communication: A Zigbee-based wireless scheme with MESH topology ensured reliable, self-healing communication for over 100,000 controllers.
3. AI-Powered Tracking System: Combining AI terrain correction with astronomical algorithms, our system maximizes energy yield by perfectly overcoming shadowing from sand dunes.
4. Eco-Friendly Design: High mounting with nearly 7-meter inter-row spacing enables "power generation above, restoration below, and planting between panels," increasing local vegetation coverage from 0.5% to 20%.
5. Smart O&M Management: A non-contact debugging solution via a mobile app significantly improved commissioning efficiency and safety.
